Hummingbirds $5.99 Hummingbirds is a remarkable effort from the southern dream pop outfit Venus Hum. This EP shimmers and sparkles with electronic delight, while it's also an impressive look at what's yet to come from this ambitious three-piece. Kip Kubin and Tony Miracle tweak the digital instrumentation, while vocalist Annette Strean delivers a warm, rich sound. The title track is an electric haze of lush lyrical depictions mixed with new wave aesthetic, whereas "Run Annie Run" raves in brighter synth beats for a kitschy club/dance schtick. "Illumine" is a soothing, ambient cast from Venus Hum, and overall their energy is intoxicating. Prepare for a sonic daydream trip on Hummingbirds. ~ MacKenzie Wilson |

A question about a bee problem, Please look inside:?
After the naughtily behaved raccoons were taken off, my feeders were returned to their post. Now, they are being taken over by honey bees. Even when covering the entire thing with a stocking & putting a tiny hole for the hummingbird to get to the nectar, the bees still pushed their way in there. There is not a "cage" to catch bees. I've been using a 2 liter cola bottle with nectar in it & catch gobs of them each day,but they still are swarming & covering up the feeders like they're auditioning for a science fiction or horror movie! "The Bees!!".
Need help?
Thank you anyone.
how do you find their lair btw?

Several companies make bee- and wasp-proof Hummingbird Feeders. These feeders are designed with nectar tubes too long for bees and wasps to access. My neighbor switched to a feeder of this type and hasn't had a problem since. Some possibilities:

You can also try moving the feeder a few yards away every time the bees find it. It may take them days or weeks to find it again. Even for bee-proof feeders, make sure you keep the outside of the feeder clean, to limit insects' access to the nectar.
